��ɫֱ��’s College will host the fourth annual Leo & Friends Writing Retreat on June 13-15, 2025. The event brings together writers for a weekend of creative workshops, review sessions, and open mic readings. The retreat is open not only to alumni, but also to community members.

“Leo & Friends Writing Retreat offers community to writers at all levels of experience,” explained Dr. Robin Field, English professor at ��ɫֱ��’s College and retreat board member. “Our participants receive thoughtful feedback on their work in progress, identify new strategies for pushing past writer’s block, and learn how to submit their writing to local and national literary magazines. Writers will leave the retreat bursting with inspiration and eager to create!”

The cost of registration is $135, which includes all meals and sessions. Optional housing on campus is available at $35 per person, per night for a room with a shared bath or $70 per person, per night for a room with a private bath.

“No matter what your skill level is or what genre you write, there is value to be had here,” said board member Samantha Buchernatale. “Over the last few years, our retreat has grown into something really special and serves as a homecoming of sorts for a lot of us to reconnect with each other and with our own writing.”
